DESCRIPTION:\n\nA deep mid-winter dance.\nBy removing the sense of sight\, 
 we are invited to rely on our other senses - touch\, listening\, and propr
 ioception (the sense of where your body is in space) - to navigate the dan
 ce. Inviting us into a deep state of presence\, trusting our body to guide
  us while attuning to ourselves and the bodies of others. Dancing blindfol
 ded uncovers new and authentic ways of moving with ourselves and with othe
 rs. Come and imerse yourself with us into a deep mid winter dance in the d
 arkness.\n\nJocasta Crofts will be guiding us through this journey from wa
 king up the eyes\, how we then close them and begin to trust the’eyes’
  we have all over our body. Learning to deepen into our other senses\, sof
 t feeling and intuition will guide us into a deep mid winter dance in the 
 darkness. Participating in a blindfolded jam requires a certain level of t
 rust and vulnerability\, which can be both challenging and rewarding. We a
 im to make the environment as safe as possible.\n\nJocasta\, also known as
  Shanti is an experienced contact improvisation teacher\, a Body Mind Cent
 ering practitioner and a mother. Shanti is intuitive\, playful\, a tribal 
 gatherer and a little bit witchy.\n\nLive music: Ian Popperwell will be pl
 aying a live meditative soundscape with his modular synth and saxophone. I
 an is a visually impaired musician and support worker based in Bristol.\n\
 nOrganizer: Edwina Pereira is a dancer\, contact improvisation teacher and
  massage therapist. She will be organizing the event and making sure the e
