DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5-6:30pm followed by the
  jam 6:30-8:30pm. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to ke
 ep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arrive

 \n\nContacting the Self part two\n2: Honesty in the Process\nThe warm-up a
 nd class combines elements of Gestalt Therapy and Somatics with a person-c
 entred approach to learning and development.\n\nTogether we will explore a
 uthentic movement\, bringing our attention to postural\, muscular and gest
 ural characteristics\, loosening up restrictive body rigidities to release
  potential for the emergence of natural movement impulses. We shall also d
 iscuss and explore the movement potentialities of the organs.\nThe Jam\nA 
 jam is an informal gathering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but space a
 nd time to develop skills and confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\, o
 r sit and watch\, as you wish. The jam provides an opportunity to explore 
 and integrate techniques you have learned\, and to find your own routes in
 to dancing.\n\nAt some jams a teacher will facilitate a score to follow su
 ch as a focused (silent) jam\, the Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark-Sm
 ith)\, or a blindfold (or eyes-closed) jam\, this will normally be adverti
 sed via our regular mailout – so sign-up if you want advance notice.\n\n
  	Live musicians will improvise with the dancing at many of the jams.\n 	F
