DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5-6:30pm followed by the
  jam 6:30-8:30pm. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to ke
 ep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arrive

 xcited to welcome guest teacher Dylan Elmore.\n\nDylan is a London based i
 ndependent dance artist.\n\nHe has danced with Batsheva Dance Company (Isr
 ael)\, Ballet Gulbenkian (Portugal)\, L’Anonima Imperial and Rami Levi (
 Spain)\, Daniel Larrieu (France)\, Tanzforum (Germany) and Galili Dance (H
 olland).\n\nAs a freelance artist he has collaborated with and danced for 
 many choreographers both in the United Kingdom and internationally.\n\nHe 
 is passionately curious about the body in motion. As well as contact impro
 visation\, his regular movement practices include sport climbing\, yoga\, 
 and Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis (of which he is a Master Teacher).\n\nHe con
 tinues to delve deeper\, bringing his lifelong movement enquiry and evolvi
 ng personal practice to his class.\nClass Description\n\nPicture taken by 
 Eliot Ford\n\n'Out of and into the ground’\nHow do we move effortlessly 
 from the floor to upright\, from moving on our own through space into cont
 act with another?\nWhen our relationship to gravity is clear we are freed 
 up to move with ease and lightness.\nWe will begin on the floor\, yielding
  to the ground\, from there finding our way to uprightness with freedom an
 d buoyancy. We can then translate this into partnering.\nAre we able to re
 main playful and curious in our explorations?\nWhen we are in the moment c
 an we allow ourselves to be surprised?\nThe Jam\nA jam is an informal gath
 ering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but space and time to develop skil
 ls and confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\, or sit and watch\, as yo
 u wish. The jam provides an opportunity to explore and integrate technique
 s you have learned\, and to find your own routes into dancing.\n\nAt some 
 jams a teacher will facilitate a score to follow such as a focused (silent
 ) jam\, the Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark-Smith)\, or a blindfold (
 or eyes-closed) jam\, this will normally be advertised via our regular mai
 lout – so sign-up if you want advance notice.\n\n 	Live musicians will i
