We send out regular emails of class descriptions\, to get th ese\, please sign-up to our mailing list.\nClass Description\n\n\nContac t Improvisation Sunday skills class with Maga\n\nWe will explore the techn ical parts of contact improvisation (such as handstands and backbends) in different scenarios\, first practicing the skills separately and then whil e dancing.\nThe class will begin with a fairly intense warm up\, including a lot of conditioning. We will go through principles of rolling on the fl oor and then expanding through to improvisation tasks and handstand / back bend techniques with a partner. To help contextualise we will also revisit some basics: rolling points of contact\, sharing of the spine\, perceivin g and following\, and making suggestions to take our dance into new and ex citing places. The class is suitable for all levels.\n\nMaga Radlowska (PL /UK) - contact improvisation dancer\, performer\, choreographer\, improvis er and teacher. Magdalena graduated from London Contemporary Dance School and Middlesex University in London\, and has fifteen years professional ex perience in contact improvisation\, contemporary dance\, physical theatre and improvisation. Magdalena was co-organiser for ECITE 2013 in Poland\, a nd has taught CI in many festivals in Poland and abroad. She regularly tea ches CI workshops\, Bristol\, Brighton and London Contact Improvisation cl asses\, as well as being a lecturer in CI at Middlesex University.\nThe Ja m\nA jam is an informal gathering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but sp ace and time to develop skills and confidence. You are free to dance\, res t\, or sit and watch\, as you wish.
