SUMMARY:Bristol CI: Sunday Class & Jam - DMAC\, (4th Floor) Hamilton House 
 - 7 May 17 17:00
DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5-6.30pm followed by the
  jam 6.30-8.30pm. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to ke
 ep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arrive
  at any time for the jam. Dancers can come just for the class\, £6\, or s
 tay for the jam\, £9. You can also book on MoveGB\n\nFor more information

 . We send out regular emails of class descriptions\, to get these\, please
  sign-up to our mailing list.\nClass Description\n\n\nAfter warming the 
 space\, we will work from somatic images into movement. Working with light
  contact\, I will propose a toolkit to join and separate from other bodies
  in the room\,\n\nThis class is about light touch and brief encounters.\n\
 nAfter warming the body with hands-on\, we'll engage in a brief compositio
 nal task to wake up our curiosity and awareness of the space and bodies ar
 ound us.\n\nAfter negotiating the passing through of other bodies\, we'll 
 see how and touch and natural platforms within the body allow us to utilis
 e\, manipulate and negotiate ourselves with each other\, both on and off t
 he alignment of our own access.\nThe Jam\nA jam is an informal gathering o
 f dancers. There is no teacher\, but space and time to develop skills and 
 confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\, or sit and watch\, as you wish.
  The jam provides an opportunity to explore and integrate techniques you h
 ave learned\, and to find your own routes into dancing.\n\nAt some jams a 
 teacher will facilitate a score to follow such as a focused (silent) jam\,
  the Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark-Smith)\, or a blindfold (or eyes
 -closed) jam\, this will normally be advertised via our regular mailout 
 – so sign-up if you want advance notice.\n\n 	Live musicians will im
 provise with the dancing at many of the jams.\n 	For more information\, pl
