DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5-6.30pm followed by the
  jam 6.30-8.30pm. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to ke
 ep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arrive
  at any time for the jam. Dancers can come just for the class\, £6\, or s

  sign-up to our mailing list.\nClass Description\nFluid Release and Alig
 nment\nThis Sunday we will begin dancing from a place of release\, finding
  alignment through gentle and fluid floor-work and hands-on. We will inves
 tigate orienting to gravity and how to support the weight of the skull. As
  we develop an acute proprioceptive awareness we will move on to more play
 ful partner-work\, including push and pull patterns and spinal sensibiliti
 es\, aligning the head and tail.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nArtist Bio\nRosalind is a D
 ance Artist and Somatic Movement Practitioner. She creates immersive insta
 llations and performances for gallery and site-specific environments. She 
 has been passionate about Contact Improvisation since she was a student of
  Fine Art and Choreography at Dartington in 2009 and now teaches regularly
  in the UK and at festivals in Europe. Besides Contact Improvisation her p
 ractice is also informed by Body-Mind Centering\, Authentic Movement and S
 kinner Release Technique. She holds a Masters degree in Dance\, Creative P
 ractice and is also a Yoga Teacher and Shaw method\, swimming teacher\; a 
 release based approach\, combining the Alexander Technique.\n\nwww.rosalin
 dholgatesmith.com\nThe Jam\nA jam is an informal gathering of dancers. The
 re is no teacher\, but space and time to develop skills and confidence. Yo
 u are free to dance\, rest\, or sit and watch\, as you wish. The jam provi
 des an opportunity to explore and integrate techniques you have learned\, 
 and to find your own routes into dancing.\n\nAt some jams a teacher will f
 acilitate a score to follow such as a focused (silent) jam\, the Underscor
 e (developed by Nancy Stark-Smith)\, or a blindfold (or eyes-closed) jam\,
  this will normally be advertised via our regular mailout – so sign-up
  if you want advance notice.\n\n 	Live musicians will improvise with th
