SUMMARY:Bristol CI Sunday Class & Jam - DMAC\, (4th Floor) Hamilton House -

DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5-6.30pm followed by the
  jam 6.30-8.30pm. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to ke
 ep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arrive
  at any time for the jam. Dancers can come just for the class\, £6\, or s
 tay for the jam\, £9. You can also book on MoveGB\n\nFor more information

  sign-up to our mailing list.\nClass Description\n\nBody democracy 2 is 
 a follow on class from last week\, where we explored moving away from the 
 primacy of sight and into full embodiment. We explored the idea that the b
 ody is an integrated organism of feeling\, movement and contact and in CI 
 the more we can give ourselves over to this multiplicity of intelligence t
 he more intriguing and connected we can be in our dance. This class is sui
 table for allcomers and those who were not here last week. We will revise 
 things and then take these ideas further into our Contact Improvisation. A
 s before I will try to facilitate in an improvised way to be true to the f
 orm\, I wonder if anyone will draw the anarchy card this week!\n\nThe Jam\
 nA jam is an informal gathering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but spac
 e and time to develop skills and confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\
 , or sit and watch\, as you wish. The jam provides an opportunity to explo
 re and integrate techniques you have learned\, and to find your own routes
  into dancing.\n\nAt some jams a teacher will facilitate a score to follow
  such as a focused (silent) jam\, the Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark
 -Smith)\, or a blindfold (or eyes-closed) jam\, this will normally be adve
 rtised via our regular mailout – so sign-up if you want advance notice
 .\n\n 	Live musicians will improvise with the dancing at many of the jam
