SUMMARY:Bristol CI Sunday Class & Jam - DMAC\, (4th Floor) Hamilton House -
  8 Sep 13 17:30
DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5.30-6.30pm followed by 
 the jam 6.45-8.30pm. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to
  keep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arr
 ive at any time for the jam. Dancers can come just for the class\, £5\, o
 r stay for the jam\, £8.\n\nFor more information feel free to contact the

 t.\nClass Description\nA fascia-nating dance: An Experiential journey into
  the connective tissue of the body. In this class we will go into some inv
 estigation of our fascia system. "A structure of connective tissue that 
 surrounds muscles\, groups of muscles\, blood vessels\, and nerves\, bindi
 ng some structures together\, while permitting others to slide smoothly ov
 er each other."  ( wikipedia ) Through some hands on work\, along with s
 ome visualisations we shall develop an awareness of how it is to move wit
 h these qualities as a contact dancer.\nThe Jam\nA jam is an informal gath
 ering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but space and time to develop skil
 ls and confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\, or sit and watch\, as yo
 u wish. The jam provides an opportunity to explore and integrate technique
 s you have learned\, and to find your own routes into dancing.\n\nAt some 
 jams a teacher will facilitate a score to follow such as a focused (silent
 ) jam\, the Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark-Smith)\, or a blindfold (
 or eyes-closed) jam\, this will normally be advertised via our regular mai
 lout – so sign-up if you want advance notice.\n\n	Live musicians will im
