This is the first one!\n\nBeginner friendly pre-jam war mup class 2-3pm followed by the jam 3-5pm. Children Welcome. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to keep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arrive at any time for the jam. We send out regular emails of class descriptions\, to get t hese\, please sign-up to our mailing list.\nClass Description - Suitable f or All\n\n\n\nBody Structures part 1. Taking Root (to Fly) [* part 2 next week... ]\nIn the class we will spend the majority of time “taking root ” in the dance floor and only then we begin to explore ways of rising of f the floor. We will use various imagery tools to arrive in the body in th e solo work: body carthography\, bone meditations and partner work: explor ing landscapes. As the floor work continues we will engage in body round d ances.\nThe class covers grounds of experiential anatomy\, perception\, pr oprioception and multidimensionality.\nAgnieszka\nNote: As this is an earl y class time slot we encourage children to join us and we embrace their pr esence in the dance space. We will use the following statements as a guide line for all of us moving together:\n\n\nSuitable for All class – Vision Statements:\n1. Parents/carers of younger ones are the co facilitators of the class. The teacher’s role is to flag up situations where it might b e unsafe to proceed with movement.\n2. Safety is a joint responsibility of all in the space. We are all aware of what is happening in us and around us.\n3. For the younger ones we allocate a protected quiet base in the dan ce space\, where non messy snacks\, art materials and soft toys can be fou nd.\n4. When it gets to class to jam transition time it is solely down to parents/carers to take responsibility for the younger ones. We all continu e to keep awareness of safety and the protected quiet base remains unchang ed. \n\n\nPlease arrive early so we can start promptly at 2pm. DOORS WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN 2-3PM SO AS NOT TO INTERRUPT THE CLASS\n\n\nThe Jam\nA j am is an informal gathering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but space an d time to develop skills and confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\, or sit and watch\, as you wish.
