SUMMARY:Bristol CI: Sunday Class & Jam - DMAC\, (4th Floor) Hamilton House

DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5-6.30pm followed by the
  jam 6.30-8.30pm. Doors will be closed for the duration of the class to ke
 ep the focus\, so please arrive early to attend the class\, you can arrive
  at any time for the jam. Dancers can come just for the class\, £6\, or s
 tay for the jam\, £9.\n\nFor more information feel free to contact the t

  of class descriptions\, to get these\, please sign-up to our mailing li
 st.\nClass Description\nIn this class we are going to bring awareness to a
 nd dance the "dark side of the body" [Steve Paxton]\, our back\, both in h
 orizontal and vertical positioning.  Including the head &amp\; tail explo
 ration from one of the previous classes\, I will invite us to follow on to
  further explore the structure of the spine\, practice spine undulation an
 d mobilise adjacent bony and muscular structures. How can we use the back 
 bone isolation to support our dance improvisation?\nThe Jam\nA jam is an i
 nformal gathering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but space and time to 
 develop skills and confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\, or sit and w
 atch\, as you wish. The jam provides an opportunity to explore and integra
 te techniques you have learned\, and to find your own routes into dancing.
 \n\nAt some jams a teacher will facilitate a score to follow such as a foc
 used (silent) jam\, the Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark-Smith)\, or a
  blindfold (or eyes-closed) jam\, this will normally be advertised via our
  regular mailout – so sign-up if you want advance notice.\n\n	Live mu
 sicians will improvise with the dancing at many of the jams.\n	For more i
