DESCRIPTION:The Body Parts Series\nA collection of contact improvisation cl
 asses exploring movement through different parts of the body\n\nIn this se
 ries we will use a variety of: body work\, hands on investigations\, somat
 ic movement\, limited scores\, body puzzle and movement biased activities 
 to develop a better understanding of fundamental CI-skills. We will look 
 at: active listening\, rolling\, pushing\, sliding\, spirals\, sharing wei
 ght\, staying mobile\, getting support form the floor\, communication thro
 ugh touch and flying through the lens of specific body parts.\n\nOpen to a
 ll levels.\n\nThis will be a good foundation for beginners\, as well as pr
 oviding space for deeper investigation for more experienced movers. Classe
 s can be attended individually\, however there will be some progression in
  the material so it is recommended to complete the course ( 8 Weeks )\n\nB

 Through a series of hands on exploration\, body work\, body puzzles\, and 
 movement scores we will explore how to combine soft suppleness of the spin
 e with inner strength and support for taking weight. Connecting the whole 
 of the upper body a supple spine can open a wealth of options in the dance
 \, we will explore some ways to release tension in the spine and look at t
 he role of the spine in some lifts.
