DESCRIPTION:Date:  Starts Wednesday 18th September*\nTime: 7pm - 9pm\nVe
 nue: The Willow Studio\, St Werburghs Primary School\nCost: £50 for all
  or £10/£8 (conc) drop-in\nLed by: Saskia Chaplin\n\nStarting on Wednes
 day 18th September for 7 consecutive weeks (*except for the 30th October 
 when there will be no class\, so last session is on the 6th November). A w
 eekly two-hour class exploring the basics of contact improvisation.\n\nCon
 tact Improvisation\nCI is an improvised dance form that fine tunes your se
 nses and wakes up your ability to listen and respond to what is happening 
 in the moment. Open to all bodies and inquiring minds.\n\nSome of the fund
 amentals we will explore in this course include\; the rolling point of con
 tact\, weight exchange\, basic lifts\, leading &amp\; following\, ways to 
 say yes\, no\, and maybe\, spirals\, the small dance\, safety\, and more.\
 n\nPracticals\nThis course is suitable for complete beginners and those wa
 nting to revisit the fundamentals. It is ideal to attend the whole course\
 , at a cost of just £50. However\, drop-in is also possible at £10 per c
 lass (£8 concessions)\n\nEach class will include a led warm-up at the sta
 rt and warm-down at the end\, a focus on CI fundamentals\, and time for qu
 estions\, discussion and feedback.\n\nPlease bring loose comfortable cloth
 ing\, with a warm layer to start and end in\, kneepads if you have them (I
  will bring a few pairs for sale\, £10 per pair)\, and water (though ther

 on to the floor we will explore the use of push\, roll\, and slide in cont
 act with the floor and our partners to make first contact in the dance\n\n
 Week 2:\nGive and take – giving and taking weight\, counterbalance\, us
 ing weight\, and exploring how to say yes/no through our bodies\n\nWeek 3:
 \nFollow the leader – using exercises to offer direction\, leading and 
 following our partners in space\n\nWeek 4:\nUp – the art of simple lift
 s (the table\, hip lifts\, etc)\, and finding movement with weight exchang
 e\n\nWeek 5:\nThe Centre – moving from our centres\, offering and takin
 g lifts\, leading and following from the centre\n\nWeek 6:\nSpiraling Soft
 ly – finding pathways from\, to\, and with\, the floor and our partners
 \n\nWeek 7:\nBringing it all together – following our 7-week journey th
