DESCRIPTION:Contact Improvisation is based on the physical exploration of h
 ow the body moves through its own intelligence and how two or more bodies 
 in contact with each other can move together. A dance that fine tunes your
  senses and wakes up your ability to listen and respond to what is happeni
 ng in the moment. Sometimes wild and athletic\, sometimes quiet and medita
 tive\, and all levels in between. It is a form open to all bodies and inqu
 iring minds.\n\nThe session lasts from 6 - 8:15pm. The class will be led f
 rom 6 - 7.30pm leading into open jam from 7.30pm - 8.15pm.\n\nTools for im
 provising in a jam\n\n\nHow do we start to dance with ourselves and the ot
 hers when Jamming? There are some great practical ways to move into improv
 ising\, alone\, in duos\, trios or as a large group. We will try ways to w
 arm up into dancing\, ways to enter and exit a dance. We 'll also explore 
 about boundaries and also how to be safe &amp\; aware of the whole room\, 
 whilst keeping our own engaged dancing alive.\n\nThe last Sunday of each m
 onth will be an open jam from 6 - 8:15pm with a live musician.\n\nThese Su
 nday sessions are run and taught by a community of contact dancers. Classe
 s are open to all levels and generally led by a different teacher each wee
 k.\n\nParticipants are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing in t
 he jam. Take care to be alert and sensitive to yourself and others. The or
 ganisers cannot accept responsibility or liability for injury.
