DESCRIPTION:Contact Improvisation is based on the physical exploration of h
 ow the body moves through its own intelligence and how two or more bodies 
 in contact with each other can move together. A dance that fine tunes your
  senses and wakes up your ability to listen and respond to what is happeni
 ng in the moment. Sometimes wild and athletic\, sometimes quiet and medita
 tive\, and all levels in between. It is a form open to all bodies and inqu
 iring minds.\n\nThis is the last Sunday of each month so there will be an

 l gathering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but space and time to develo
 p skills and confidence. You are free to dance\, rest\, or sit and watch\,
  as you wish. The jam provides an opportunity to explore and integrate tec
 hniques you have learned\, and to find your own routes into dancing.\n\nAt
  some jams a teacher will facilitate a score to follow such as a focused (
 silent) jam\, the Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark-Smith)\, or a blind
 fold (or eyes-closed) jam\, this will normally be advertised via our regul
 ar mailout – so sign-up if you want advance notice.\n\n 	Live musicia
 ns will improvise with the dancing at many of the jams.\n 	For more infor

 eachers.\n\nParticipants are responsible for their own safety and wellbein
 g in the jam. Take care to be alert and sensitive to yourself and others.
