DESCRIPTION:Contact Improvisation is based on the physical exploration of h
 ow the body moves through its own intelligence and how two or more bodies 
 in contact with each other can move together. A dance that fine tunes your
  senses and wakes up your ability to listen and respond to what is happeni
 ng in the moment. Sometimes wild and athletic\, sometimes quiet and medita
 tive\, and all levels in between. It is a form open to all bodies and inqu
 iring minds.\n\nThis is the last Sunday of each month so there will be an 
 open jam from 6 - 8:15pm with a live musician.\n\nNo need to book in advan

 \n\nA jam is an informal gathering of dancers. There is no teacher\, but s
 pace and time to develop skills and confidence. You are free to dance\, re
 st\, or sit and watch\, as you wish. The jam provides an opportunity to ex
 plore and integrate techniques you have learned\, and to find your own rou
 tes into dancing.\n\nAt some jams a teacher will facilitate a score to fol
 low such as a focused (silent) jam\, the Underscore (developed by Nancy St
 ark-Smith)\, or a blindfold (or eyes-closed) jam\, this will normally be a
 dvertised via our regular mailout – so sign-up if you want advance not
 ice.\n\n 	Live musicians will improvise with the dancing at many of the

 own safety and wellbeing in the jam. Take care to be alert and sensitive t
