DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nFloorwork 6-week beginner classes. Not CI\, but teaching 
 skills vital for fluid CI dancing.\n\nMoving with flow\, agility and effic
 iency into the ground.\nWe are offering a 6-week series (2hrs classes) ide
 al for beginners and those who have some experience with any physical prac
 tices\, open to all who want to learn the basics and develop their corpore
 ality.\n\nClasses will be structured in a way to practice the basics and b
 uild on these skills.\nExploring pathways into the floor\, on the floor an
 d out of the floor. Breaking down movements\, developing and adding variat
 ions. Drawing on the knowledge from developmental movement patterns\, flyi
 ng low and contemporary dance.\nUsing a combination of games\, improvisati
 onal scores and tasks\, drilling movement\, learning pathways and sequence
 s. Finding how the spine\, head and pelvis connect with each other and the
  limbs\, using gravity to complement our movement. Articulating bones\, mu
 scles and fascia\, moving through spirals and animal locomotion patterns. 
 Aiming to build strength and mobility in order to find flow in and out of

  a water bottle.\n\nBio:\nEdwina is a dancer and massage therapist\, she c
 ompleted her dance training at Bath Spa University. She is continually inf
 luenced and learning from different movement practices like contemporary d
 ance\, capoeira and contact improvisation and is fascinated by the potenti
 alities of the body.\n\nGrace’s dance style is informed by contemporary 
 and contact improvisation techniques\, with a particular focus on low and 
 ground-based movement and the principle of the centre of the body as the c
 entre for movement. She recognizes the value of building core strength to 
 aid in the discovery of new movement possibilities.\n\n
