This is an advanced level t raining for those with a strong grasp of Contact Improvisation fundamental s.\nGalactic Pelvis Global Awakening Tour\nJoin good company on the shores of Bristol for dancing and discovery. With somatic exercises\, games\, so me sweat\, and the unique physicality of the contact body we will savor an d rock the boundaries of our dances.\n\nIn this five-day intensive we will investigate the relationship of our pelvic floor to the unpremeditated da nce. Contact Improvisation reveals to us that instability leads to mobilit y … and great instability leads to exhilarating mobility.\n\nWe begin by decelerating our sense of time to enter the details of our pelvic bowl. F rom here we locate our ground to dance while in the act of falling. Surpri sing ourselves in flight and extended follow-through. And dance we will.\n \nThis is an advanced level training for those with a strong grasp of CI f undamentals.\nPrice\nThe cost of this 5-day intensive is £170 waged\, £1 60 part-time/freelance\, £150 unwaged. Martin spent time traveling to monasteries in Japan and Korea and was the direct or of the Empty Gate Zen Center in Berkeley before discovering the world o f dance. He has co-facilitated teacher's conferences on five continents an d is the author several books including: Hope Beneath Our Feet: Restoring Our Place in the Natural World.\n\nMartin now rarely tours as he concentr ates on his writing. He currently lives in San Miguel\, Mexico where he is on the board of directors of El Charco del Ingenio.
