DESCRIPTION:\nMonthly Class/ Jam with Jackie Adkins: Feldenkrais 'Awareness
  Through Movement"\nIn this session we will begin with a Feldenkrais Metho
 d lesson in Awareness Through Movement\, in which we will refine our aware
 ness by paying moment by moment attention in a specific sequence of moveme
 nts to encourage more efficient action throughout our whole self. From thi
 s attuned state we will explore solo moving\, establishing our sense of se
 lf\, through grounded fluidity\, developing into encountering others in to
 uch duets. We will play with entering and leaving duets - aiming to make s
 eamless transitions between soloing and dueting\, maintaining a state of r
 eadiness to make unexpected choices at any moment\, in terms of weight\, s
 patial intent\, speed and flow.\nPlease bring a mat or blanket to lie on.\
 nBiog: Jackie Adkins is a Feldenkrais Method teacher and dancer. She first
  encountered Contact Improvisation in the late 1980s and taught classes an
 d organised jams in London throughout the 1990s. She currently lives in Fr
 ome\, Somerset where she has an in-person and online Feldenkrais practice.
