DESCRIPTION:Beginner friendly pre-jam warmup class 5.30-6.30pm followed by 
 the jam 6.45-8.30pm. Dancers can come just for the class\, £5\, or stay f

 s Description\nThis spring we are introducing our Bristol CI Guidelines\, 
 currently in their first draft and open for feedback from the community. A
 s part of this introduction teachers of the warm-up will be including aspe
 cts of the Guidelines in their class for us to explore together.\nThe Warm
 up\nWorking with our community Guidelines - Feedback\n\nFeedback from floo
 r and partner: In this class we will address the issue of the feedback tha
 t we receive from our dancing partner\, either the floor beneath our feet 
 (or other parts)\, or our partner which is simply an extension of the floo
 r.\nWe will learn to better listen to that feedback and also to give it mo
 re clearly\, we will even play with verbal feedback during the dance and s
 ee how that changes it.\nThis class is great for beginners and also for mo
 re advanced Contact Improvisers\n\nPlease arrive early so we can start pro
 mptly at 5.30pm.\n\nTom Goldhand: is a performance artist in the field of 
 Dance &amp\; Contact Improvisation. He studied  Dance and Theatre Improvi
 sation in Israel at “Hakvuza Beyafo” and “Play School for Improvisat
 ion”. His work is influenced by the teachings of Ohad Naharin (Gaga move
 ment language)\, Julien Hamilton\, Paulien de Groot\, David Zambrano and K
 arl Frost\, amongst others.\n\nIn the last few years Tom has been performi
 ng and giving workshops on the technique of Improvisation in Dance and Con
 tact. In 2010 he moved to Amsterdam and co-founded with 5 other performanc
 e artists the group Mono Collective\, who perform free and anchored Improv
 isation pieces as well as choreographed set pieces.\n\nTom gives weekly cl
 asses of Dance and Contact Improvisation in Amsterdam. “For me\, Improvi
 sation is a way of life and I try to take it out of the studio into everyd
 ay life. I believe that the core of man spirit comes from new experiences.
