Contact Improvisation BOOTCAMP! Bristol 2026
Join us for 8 weeks of Contact Improvisation, honing in on the physical part of this practice.
These 2hr weekly classes lean on developing by practice and repetition, to build confidence and train the body. The first two classes have the option of dropping in, thereafter the remaining 6 classes will be a closed group. Each class will consist of:
– Rigorous full body warm up
– Small Jam
– Mobility/floorwork drills
– Contact drills
– Jam
– Bodywork
Expect a fun, dynamic, focused class with opportunities to improve mobility and advance skills. Exercises repeat throughout each week with options/adaptions according to skill levels as we move through the weeks.
OPEN LEVEL
For those comfortable with weight sharing and keen for getting sweaty!

TICKET PRICING
DROP IN – 22nd/ 29th January (each class) : £12 Standard £10 Concession
50% attendance (4 classes): Standard: £46 Concession £40
75% attendance (6 classes): Standard: £70 Concession £60
100% attendance (8 classes): Standard: £90 Concession £80
Minimum commitment of 50% attendance (4 classes) for the whole course (including two drop in days), with the option to add extra sessions as drop-ins if you’re able to join more.

About the facilitators:
Edwina has been dancing contact improvisation for 8 years, she has been taught by Daniel Lepkov, Nita Little, Eszter Gál, amongst many others. Edwina is a trained dancer and massage therapist; she is inspired by somatics, anatomy and technical principles of movement to harness a wide range of expression in the dance. Edwinas’ teaching style is fun, energetic and caring.
Yasin has been dancing for over 5 years and has travelled internationally. His practice has been informed by teachers such as Daniel Lepkov, Nita Little, Matan Levkowich, amongst many others. Yasin is an engineer and dancer; he takes inspiration from physics and structures and applies these principles to contact improvisation. Yasin’s teaching style is silly, imaginative and thorough.
