Non-Class (17:15-19:15)
This session is for dancers and movers interested in deepening their CI practice. It aims to encourage self-directed learning. You are facilitated to drop into your curiosity, be open to what arises, and carve out your own specific questions of interest – solo and collectively.
The framework will be loose and held by a facilitator who will encourage students to research areas of their choosing, that have either been brought to the session or arisen within the space. The facilitator will utilise moving, speaking/vocalising witnessing, sharing and supporting tools to create an environment for exploration. There will be time for solo and group contemplation to formulate an area of interest before detailed research can begin.
Closing of the session will include smaller harvest circles between dancers or if time is allowed a presentation to the group.
Level: You should have a base-line of Contact Improvisation experience and/or other movement practice. This is to ensure that you and all dancers will be able to be responsible for your own safety and learning, as it is not a class. If you have any questions, do email us!
Drop-in Jam (19:15-20:15)
The last section of the event will open out into a drop-in jam for all. Dancers can further explore their research or just enjoy a dance with others! You can also drop-in to the jam if you haven’t attended the research session.

Please arrive in time to start together for Non-Class promptly! We have time to close the jam and leave the space by 20:30
