A Series for the Spine

A collection of contact improvisation classes exploring the spine in detail.

In this series we will go into a deep exploration into the anatomy of our most delightful backbone,  Investigating the structure of your spine and how it allows you to arch, bend and twist.

Using  a variety of techniques such as: body work, hands on investigations, somatic movement, limited scores, body puzzle and movement biased activities. We will further our understanding of Contact improvisation through a deeper understanding of our own anatomy expanding our capacity for movement within the form

Open to all levels.

This will be a good foundation for beginners, as well as providing space for deeper investigation for more experienced movers. Classes can be attended individually, however there will be some progression in the material so it is recommended to complete the course ( 8 Weeks )

Week 1 – An Introduction to the Spine

In this class we will try and gain some insight to our own perception of our spine, and throughout the class this may change, we will map the different regions of the spinal column and identify some of their differences
