Contact Improvisation is a physical conversation in space and time, to describe it we us words such as weight, space, reach, release and sense.

It is a way of living our life in an alive and awake manner. To dance contact is to be brought into the presence of time and space changing. Each moment is a new opportunity, to be lived afresh.

These 4 weeks of dancing are centred in this conversation.

Week 1: Moving from centre: An exploration of our bodies centre. Clarifying our centre of gravity and our moving centre, they are different.

Week 2: Making Connections: Exploring our arms and our legs and how they can reach deep into our moving centre. Finding softness and fluidity as our dance comes and goes from the floor.

Week 3: Finding centre amongst the many: This class concerns itself in arriving into your own physical space and the physical space of the group. Dance into of out of connection.

Week 4: Bringing it all together: This week will work with group scores, plenty of dancing and some time to revisit themes presented in the previous three weeks.

Each class stands on its own, yet one week connects to the next week.

Please wear comfortable clothes to move in, that give you full movement possibility.
